About this template
Use the AI Mentalist Video Generator to turn a clear photo of yourself into a dramatic, detective-style video. Upload your photo to the AI Mentalist template on Reveedo and let the ready-made scene do the work—no filming or scene-by-scene prompt required.
The AI Mentalist trend gives an everyday portrait the feel of a TV detective edit. The appeal is in the shift: one moment you’re looking at a familiar photo; the next, that person appears in a dramatic video with quick cuts and a calm, knowing expression.
Despite the name, this isn’t an AI mind-reading trick. “Mentalist” describes the mood of the edit—the kind of character who seems to have noticed a clue before anyone else. You may also see these videos called an AI Mentalist edit or Mentalist AI video.
With Reveedo’s AI Mentalist Video Generator, you can start with a photo instead of recording several scenes and editing them together yourself.
Here’s a simple way to get started.
Return to the generator, add your images, and bring your idea to life.
Pick a photo where one person’s face is easy to see. A sharp, well-lit portrait usually gives the template a better reference than a distant group shot or a heavily filtered selfie.
You don’t need a special outfit or a dramatic pose. Choose a photo that looks recognizably like you. Only upload photos you have permission to use.
Open the AI Mentalist template and add your photo in the upload area. Check the selected image before moving on, especially if you have several similar selfies on your device.
The template supplies the video concept, so you don’t have to describe every shot in a prompt.
Check the duration, aspect ratio, quality options, and credit cost shown on the generator page. Choose from the settings actually available for this template, keeping in mind where you plan to share the finished video.
Generate the video, then watch it all the way through. Pay particular attention when the face turns or the shot changes. Do the eyes, hairline, and expression still resemble the person in your photo?
If a close-up looks noticeably different, try a sharper image with more even lighting.
The reference photo matters most when the video moves beyond the angle shown in the original image. For a better starting point:
A relaxed expression works well for this style. There’s no need to force a mysterious stare in the source photo.
The fun is that people should recognize you immediately, even though the setting feels nothing like an ordinary selfie.
Upload a clear photo to Reveedo’s AI Mentalist template, review the available settings, and generate the video. Watch the finished clip before sharing it.
Check the generator page for the current credit cost and any available plan options before you create a video.
You don’t need to write a scene-by-scene prompt to use the ready-made template. If the generator offers optional controls, review them before generating.
You can use a friend’s photo if they’ve agreed to it. If you plan to post the video publicly, show them the result first.
No. It’s a name for the style of video, not a mind-reading feature.
AI animation can alter facial details as the angle, expression, or scene changes. Blurry photos and covered faces make that harder to avoid. Try a clearer reference image and check the full video, not just its first frame.
Choose a photo your friends would recognize at a glance, then try the AI Mentalist Video Generator on Reveedo. Generate your edit, check the close-ups, and share the version that still looks like you.
